The Archdiocese of Newark requires that all adults, staff, and volunteers involved with  Our Lady of Mercy Parish children under 18 must comply with the following requirements of the Protecting God’s Children Program prior to being able to volunteer. A background check will be required. 

Please note: This is a criminal background check, NOT a credit check. 

Once you have filled out and submitted the Volunteer Application Form, you have authorized the Archdiocese to run your background check.                     Volunteers may NOT serve with children present until this process is completed.

Please Note: All paperwork is kept in a locked file and viewed only by the Safe Environment Coordinator.
